Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of Major League Baseball’s most successful franchises, and the reigning champions, after their success in 2024. Dodger Stadium is the team’s home ballpark, and they have been playing in the National League West Division since 1969. If you are looking for ways to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers game tonight, or over the remainder of the season, here is everything you need to know.

What Channel is the Dodgers Game on Tonight?

Most Los Angeles Dodgers games are broadcast on Spectrum SportsNet LA, which is the team’s exclusive regional sports network. This channel is purely devoted to covering the team, meaning it is never short of analysis, interviews, and, of course, live broadcasts.

The only games not to be covered by the channel are those that are broadcast nationally. These will instead feature on any of the following channels, which are MLB’s national partners:

  • ESPN: Select nationally broadcast MLB games and Sunday Night Baseball.
  • TBS: Tuesday Night MLB games throughout the regular season.
  • FOX: 20 Saturday late afternoon or evening games, and four Thursday night games.
  • MLB Network: 26 MLB Network Showcase games - blackout restrictions apply for in-market fans.

How to Stream Dodgers Games Online

If you are a local fan, then the best way to stream LA Dodgers games is via a subscription to DirecTV Stream, which is the only major TV streaming provider to have Spectrum SportsNet LA as part of its channel portfolio. On top of that, DirectTV Stream also includes the national broadcasters needed to catch the more high-profile Dodgers games, of which there are plenty. If you ever need to check what channel you need to watch the Los Angeles Dodgers live on TV today, you will find all the information you need on our MLB page.

For fans outside of the area, MLB.TV is a great option. Not only will this allow you to catch every single LA Dodgers game, but also the rest of the stacked MLB schedule as well. This is the best option for die-hard baseball fans, although blackout restrictions will still apply for nationally broadcast and in-market games. Replays will be available immediately after though.

If you don’t fancy any of those options, then you can consider any of the following, which all air select MLB games alongside a vast portfolio of other sports and entertainment.

  • ESPN+: One out-of-market game per day throughout the regular season
  • Roku: MLB Sunday Leadoff - Broadcasting early Sunday afternoon games during the regular season.
  • Fox Sports App: Stream any games shown on FOX, but requires a TV provider login.
  • TBS Sports App: Stream Tuesday night games on TBS.
  • Apple TV+: Stream Friday Night Baseball exclusive games.

Home of the Dodgers

The Dodgers played four seasons at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum before moving into Dodger Stadium in 1962. It is the oldest stadium west of the Mississippi River and the third oldest in MLB. Dodger Stadium is the largest baseball stadium by capacity – 56,000 – in the world. The stadium has often been referred to as a “pitcher’s ballpark” since it has seen 12 no-hitters, two of which were perfect games.

History of the Dodgers

The Dodgers have a long history of success dating back to the franchise’s days in Brooklyn. The team claims 18 NL West Division titles, including the past seven straight from 2013 to 2019. Los Angeles also made the postseason as a MLB wild card in 1996 and 2006.

The Dodgers have won 23 NL pennants and one American Association (1889) pennant. The franchise has won six World Series titles (1955, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, and 1988. Dodgers players have won 18 Rookie of the Year awards, more than twice as many as the next closest team (New York Yankees, 8).

The Dodgers rich history has allowed the franchise some of the game’s all-time greats. That includes the man who broke the MLB color barrier – Jackie Robinson. A six-time All-Star, Robinson played 10 MLB seasons, all with the Dodgers. He was the NL Rookie of the Year in 1947 and the MVP in 1949 and was part of the 1955 World Series champions. His No. 42 has been retired by MLB. No player on any of the league’s 30 teams can wear it.

The Dodgers have also had some great pitchers. Hall of Famers Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale are among them. Koufax was a three-time Cy Young winner and played on four World Series championship teams. Drysdale was Koufax’s teammate through much of the same era. Drysdale won 209 career games and won the Cy Young in 1962. He was a nine-time All-Star and won three World Series titles.

Hall of Fame catcher Roy Campanella spent his entire 10-year MLB career with the Dodgers. He was an eight-time All-Star and won the NL MVP three times (1951, 1953, 1955). He was a member of the 1955 World Series championship team before his career was cut short after he was paralyzed in a car accident.
