Top 3 Must-Watch Sporting Events This Weekend: July 26-27th

Tour de France Final Stages

  • Day: Saturday, 26th July & Sunday, 27th July
  • Time: Coverage begins 8:00 am ET (9:30am Sunday)
  • Channel: NBC, Peacock

The latest edition of the Tour de France reaches its thrilling conclusion this weekend, with the final two stages slated for Saturday, the 26th, and Sunday, the 27th of July. On Saturday, riders will tackle stage 20, a challenging 184km route from Nantua to Pontarlier. This will be their last chance to make significant moves up the leaderboard, as Sunday’s route is the iconic procession through the Champs‑Élysées circuit, which is flat and only a contest for the sprinters.

At the time of writing, Tadej Pogacar is comfortably out front, ahead of Jonas Vingegaard, with the Slovenian seemingly on track to win his fourth Tour de France, and second straight. Behind those two, Lenny Martinez will be hoping to put the finishing touches on his climbing jersey bid, whilst Jonathan Milan will be doing the same for the green points jersey. There is still lots still to be decided, and you don’t want to miss the celebration down the Champs‑Élysées, so it is worth getting up early to tune in.

F1: Belgian Grand Prix

  • When: Sunday, 27th July
  • Time: 9:00am ET
  • Channel: ESPN, ESPN+

The 2025 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps takes place this weekend, and it promises to be a good one. Not only do we get to see who emerges victorious in the all-important race on Sunday, but fans this weekend will be treated to the sprint-format spectacle. Practice and sprint qualifying will take place on Friday, before the sprint race and regular race qualifying take place on a jam-packed and exhilarating Saturday. Then, the drivers will compete for the chequered flag at 9am Eastern Time on Sunday morning for the biggest prize of the lot.

It’s neck-and-neck between the McLarens as things stand, and Oscar Piastri will be eager to get another win in the bag after throwing things away with his sloppy mistake behind the safety car last time out. Lando Norris is snapping at his heels in the championship battle, though, and is far more experienced, so it should be another fantastic race around one of F1’s best tracks.

WNBA: Indiana Fever @ Chicago Sky

  • When: Sunday, 27th July
  • Time: 3:00pm ET
  • Channel: ABC, ESPN+

Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have become box office entertainment since joining the pro ranks, and they meet again at 3pm Eastern Time this Sunday afternoon. Clark’s Fever are currently 6th in the East, while Reese’s Sky are struggling in 11th, but we can expect a high-energy clash, as has become custom for these fiery teams.

To enjoy the action, you’ll need to be plugged into ABC at 3:00pm.
