Wimbledon 2025 Preview: Dates, Players to Watch & Tournament Schedule

There are four grand slams a year, but, let’s be honest, there’s one that stands clear of the rest. Wimbledon is the most prestigious and highly coveted tournament of the year, welcoming the world’s best tennis players to the iconic grass courts of the All England Club. The last grand slam, the French Open, produced an all-timer of a final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, who will draw plenty of eyes should they be matched up again.

After the fun of last time, you won’t want to miss what goes down in London this year. This guide gives you the key dates, top storylines, and what to expect from Wimbledon 2025. Remember to make use of Livesportsontv.com for the full Wimbledon TV schedule 2025.

What to Expect from Wimbledon 2025

For anyone not already familiar with Wimbledon, prepare for a very ‘British’ event. Strawberries and cream is the food of choice, with a healthy dose of champagne, and you’re unlikely to be allowed entry unless you adhere to the smart dress code. This is an event that prioritizes pomp and ceremony more than any other on the sporting calendar, but don’t worry, the tennis is still top tier.

When it comes to predicting the winner of the men’s tournament, how can you look anywhere other than the top two in the market? Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are first and second in the world rankings respectively, and were last seen delivering a final for the ages in the French Open. They are tied at the top of the betting markets with odds of roughly +150. With Alcaraz going for his third straight, expect him to be a popular pick.

Novak Djokovic is always likely to receive some nods due to his illustrious career, reflected in his third place odds of +450, but it does feel as if the baton has been handed to the youngsters now. A slightly less well-known name to keep an eye on is Jack Draper, the United Kingdom’s best talent, who will be eager to make an impact on home turf.

Things are much more open in the women’s tournament. Barbora Krejčíková won this event last time out, but she is considered a relative outsider this year with odds of +1600. Of course, the locals would love to see Emma Raducanu win, but odds of +2000 reflect how unlikely that is as well. The most likely winner according to the betting markets is Aryna Sabalenka, with odds of +333, closely followed by Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina at +500, and Coco Gauff and Mirra Andreeva at +900. This one is wide open, and should be a lot of fun!
