How can I watch the Stanley Cup Playoffs?

The Stanley Cup Playoffs where 16 teams compete for a spot in the Stanley Cup final is scheduled to begin on May 2nd. As of this season, the NHL has found itself a new home with ESPN and Turner Sports as new airing networks of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Not since 2004 has the NHL been covered by ESPN and for Turner Sports this will be the first ever season.

The matches of the first two rounds of the Stanley Cup Playoffs will be split between the two broadcasters and when the NHL Conference Finals comes up, ESPN has the first choice of which series to broadcast. The Stanley Cup Final will alternate between the two networks and this season it will be ESPN delivering the action from the final series.

In Canada, it will once again be Roger Media who covers the Stanley Cup Playoffs. All matches will be aired live on Sportsnet Networks and CBC Television. This is the eight year of the current 12th-year running contract with Roger Media broadcasting the NHL Playoffs and Stanley Cup Final in Canada.

Any regional broadcasters affiliated with ESPN or Turner Sports will continue covering the Stanley Cup Playoffs. For further information on how to watch the upcoming NHL matches, please check out the NHL TV- and streaming schedule below.
