Previous meetings

2019              Dallas Cowboys – Tampa Bay Buccaneers 15-17 (Pre-season)
2018              Dallas Cowboys – Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-20 (Regular season)
2016              Dallas Cowboys – Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26-20 (Regular season)
2015              Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Dallas Cowboys 10-6 (Regular season)
2012              Dallas Cowboys – Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16-10 (Regular season)

Mike McCarthy’s first season in charge of the Cowboys finished 6-10. With key player Dak Prescott out due to injury for most of the last season the Cowboys struggled to keep up with the best teams in the league which led them to a disappointing 3rd place in the NFC. Two consecutive seasons without post season participation is not good enough for the five-time Super Bowl champions who are held as favorite to win the NFC this season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers led by Tom Brady clinched their second ever Super Bowl trophy last season when they beat Kansas City Chiefs by 31-9. That was Tom Brady’s seventh Super Bowl title, and with a signed one-year contract extension that keeps him with the Buccaneers through the upcoming season we might still not have seen the last trophy won by the all-time record quarterback.

Last time the two sides went up against each other was in 2019 in a preseason game. Dallas Cowboys have the better H2H-stats, though the Buccaneers will have to be seen as favorites in Friday’s encounter coming from last season’s success. The game will kick off 20:20 ET on Friday night and you can find all information on how to watch the action live on TV and live stream here.
